Paintball Marketing – Secrets on How to Market Your Paintball Site

With the rapid decline in economies throughout the world maintaining a profitable paintball field has never been harder. Up to 3 years ago the majority of paintballing venues had bookings throughout the week then this number drastically reduced to bookings only at weekends and now some venues are struggling to fill weekend slots – Don’t worry paintballing groups are out there, you just need to know where to look and how to get them to pick up the phone and make a booking.

One of the first key aspects of marketing any product is to make sure you have a product to market. If you expect groups of people to come and play paintball at your site then you have to expect them to want a great experience. Advertising a “run-down” paintball venue will fail long term as a lot of the players who play paintball do so regularly and so a “run-down” venue will get minimum return visitors. You should invest time and if available, money into your paintball site – ensure games s meets games safety standards, all equipment is in proper working order and all game areas are maintained with games props being repaired when necessary. Remember all aspects of the paintball site should be maintained and this includes toilets and changing rooms, parking and picnic or dining areas. Once your site can compete with the best it’s time to get the groups in.

Before you launch into a big advertising campaign which hasn’t been fully thought through ask yourself, where do paintball players who will come to my site hang out? And what will it take to get them to play at my venue? With general advertising trends moving away from traditional mediums such as radio and print towards online advertising, this is a great place to start. Why? Online advertising is more specific to your target market and cost efficient. Online advertising allows you to create sponsored listings within a search engines search results so that your ad will come up when potential players are searching for your site – this strategy is continuing to draw in customers for some of the busiest paintball venues throughout the world and is proven to work when managed carefully and set up professionally – while this is a great advertising medium which will bring immediate traffic to your website, when mismanaged it can turn out to be very costly. Advertising on websites where your potential customers hang out such as paintball forums is also a great online marketing strategy.

Once you have groups booked in your marketing strategy should not stop – a happy customer will return and refer your paintball site to any of his/her friends who may be interested in playing. Every new player should be given the chance to sign up for a monthly newsletter which consists of any special offers or venue news. This ensures all previous players are kept up to date regarding games etc at the venue.

These strategies are just a starting point and should be commenced as soon as possible. Every paintball venue should be continuously promoting their site keeping in touch with previous players.
