D&D Avatar Scenario (Azula,Ty Lee,and Mai)?

I’m a big D&D and avatar fan so i came up with this campaign
Story
While on route to capture the avatar Azula,Ty Lee,and Mai and sucked into a vortex which transports them to the town of Salara which frightens the villagers the towns people say they will trust them if they dead with the goblin camp that makes frequent raids on their village

so thats the story however my friends (i took some peoples advice from my previous question and got friends) liked the idea but didn’t like the abilities they had so these are my questions
1. alignment
2.should I have a cool down for azula’s fire bending and electric attacks
3.should ty lee have a hand weapon such as claw gauntlets or just use fists and should I have a cool down for her chi blocking
4.should mai stick with throwing knives
5.and should they wear armour or just common clothes

Sorry for all the questions my friends thought they were to powerful

All in my humble opinion.

1. Neutral (story can swing either way than)
2. Yes, or even a warm up rate.
3. Keep the claw gauntler just make it less damage (or easy to break)
4. Yes a party usual carries different varieties close, combat, ranged combat, etc
5. “Natural” armour would be fine, ie leather, hewn. etc
