How do I fix my Spyder Sonix paintball gun?

Ok, so I bought a Spyder Sonix a few years back and it has never worked right. I never took it back so about a year ago I bought a Tipman, which I love. But I would like to fix my Spyder for friends to use. Now the problem: when I shoot it, it barely shoots over 100fps. And when I crank it up, it still shoots the same. It functions in the way that it shoots, but barely rolls out of the barrel. And I don’t want to take it anywhere, is there a way I can fix it myself?

It’s either in your rear spring or possibly in your vertical reg. It’s been a while since I’ve worked on a Spyder but judging from the manual, the internals haven’t changed much. It could be you need to stretch out your rear spring a bit. It could also be that your internals need a bit of lube. If the rear block is dry, friction will restrict its forward motion which will effect fps.
