How do I increase air efficiency in paintball?

I’m a newbie to paintball. I use a Tippmann 98 Custom. And I use CO2 for now.(I plan on using HPA in the future). So how do I increase my air efficiency?

One more question.
Is the Smart Parts Tactical Barrel a good one? I’m pretty sure the stock one is a piece.

In terms of ‘effciency’ meaning more shots per fill, there are a few things you can do. Nothing you do will make ‘all’ that much difference though. You really can’t lower velocity that much, because you want to have the same velocity as eveyone else playing at the field.

If you plan on staying with CO2, use an expansion chamber on your gun. This will help the liquid to gas conversion allowing you more shots per fill. It will also help you maintain a more consistent pressure resulting in better accuracy.

The most effecient thing you can do is to just switch to HPA (nitrogen or compressed air). Compressed air does not have the drawbacks of CO2, you won’t need an expansion chamber or experience drop off or major swings in velocity.
